The On the Run Series by Gordon Korman

The six book series about the Falconer children, is a wonderful read for all ages. In the story, Meg and Aiden Falconer escape from a juvenile detention farm where they were being held for no other reason than nobody wanted to take care of them. Their parents John and Louise are in a federal prison for helping terrorists. Obviously Aiden and Meg believe their parents innocence, and once free from the juvenile system head out on the run to find the answer to their parents conviction. They are searching for the man from the CIA who their parents worked with a Frank Lindenauer. While they are looking for "Uncle Frank" the FBI agent who put their parents away is looking for them, not too mention a bald assassin. They journey takes them all over the country. I loved the cheesy narrow escapes and the resourcefulness of the two children to survive, while being chased by most of America. The story was an easy read, with plenty of comedy, suspense and action. A great series for boys and girls alike.
